Read moreI have worked for the South Central LA Regional Center (SCLARC) System for eleven years as the Fair Hearings/Gov’t Affairs manager. As the Fair Hearing manager I have represented SCLARC in the administrative hearings process and worked diligently to negotiate all the agency’s complaints. On a personal level, I am a volunteer with the National Council Jewish Women LA and am involved in their Human trafficking work group. As well, I am a Junior League member working on the Finance & Operations committee and the Public Policy Institute. I recently graduated from the Liberty Hill Cohort 2014 grassroots leadership program. As a result, I was appointed by Supervisor Hilda Solis to the Sybil Brand Commission (SBC).
The SBC inspects all facilities where individuals are detained such as Men’s Central Jail. I deeply desire to make a difference in the criminal justice system and am committed to see the process through until a better system is implemented. I was also appointed to the Board of Psychology by Governor Brown. I am a member of the Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) and California Women Lead.
I seek to promote Democratic values and in particular women’s’ mobility in politics, boards and commissions.
