Jennifer Smith

Class of 2017

Jennifer Smith resides in Goleta, California and is an Employee and Labor Relations Analyst and Trainer at UC Santa Barbara. Jennifer is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis School of Law with a certificate in Public Service. As a law student, she interned with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and The National Women's Law Center in Washington, D.C.. She was also named the Outstanding Woman Law Graduate from UC Davis by the National Association of Women Lawyers.

Before joining UCSB in 2016, she worked as a legal aid attorney for over eight years in Sacramento and Santa Barbara, representing low-income individuals, families and seniors in a variety of civil legal matters. Jennifer has served on the board of Santa Barbara Women Lawyers since 2013, and in 2017 is serving as Board President. She was appointed to the Goleta City Planning Commission in February 2017.
