I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 3rd Assistant Engineer Coast Guard License at the California Maritime Academy. I returned to San José to receive my post-graduate education at San José State University in the same field. Currently, I am the Creative Collisions Event Coordinator for The Tech Museum of Innovation.
I am a tinkerer and love to look at the source code for everything. I enjoy exploring uncommon uses for tools and processes. I strive to look at policy through a regional perspective and learn about the different communities by attending many planning and decision making meetings throughout the bay area.
I serve on the executive board of Silicon Valley Young Democrats, South Alameda County Young Democrats, National Women’s Political Caucus of Silicon Valley and am active in many community organizations including Code for San Jose, Peninsula Young Democrats and Girl Develop It San Jose. I am also an elected delegate for AD 25. I hold a strong interest in the following issues: internet freedom and privacy, women in technology, and the role and opportunity of technology in politics.
