Elva also serves as a Commissioner on The San Diego Status of Women and is active member of Women Give San Diego. She is a passionate advocate for women’s reproductive justice as well as the economic empowerment of women and girls in San Diego county. Elva also has over 25 years of business/people management experience and invests her time in the areas of mentoring and leadership. She is grateful for the mentoring of other women in leadership positions and believes the best women leaders are vulnerable, transparent, engaging and authentic. She is dedicated giving back to her community in order to strengthening the visibility, voice and needs of women and girls and is honored to be part of the 2014 Emerge CA class.
